It's been a journey...
Jan 03, 2023It's been a journey to finally share my work and practice and teaching of the sacred drum publicly.
For many, many years, I preferred to hide out and play my drum in solo meditation and ritual, in small community ceremonies, and with my family.
With the invitation to join the Shift Network as part of their faculty, I now feel the call to share some...of what I've learned and discovered more openly.
I feel the importance of sharing these teachings that I’ve spent a large part of my life studying and developing to honor my teacher, Layne Redmond and the path of the sacred drum.
This is a subject I have thought about and contemplated more than just about anything else because I find it so fascinating...
From the ancient herstory, to modern science to the global cross-cultural migration pattern of the frame drum, there is so much to explore for modern people about the amazing practice and potential of drumming.
I hope one day, you join me on this drumming journey...
